THE SEMINAR PROGRAM: This is a Chen Taiji (Tai Chi) seminar with Master Chen Bing, world renowned martial artist  and tai chi leader.  Master Chen Bing from Henan Province, China is a direct descendant of the founding father of Chen Taiji; Chen Wang Ting - 1600 to 1680. Our seminar offers a comprehensive understanding of Tai Chi's internal principles, which can improve your strength, balance, confidence, and mental clarity. You will learn how to integrate these principles into your martial arts/self defense training and discover the inner power within you for greater health, happiness, and vitality. This seminar is designed for individuals seeking to cultivate a deeper sense of wellbeing and lead a more fulfilling life.

MORNING CLASSES I:

Time: 7 to 8:30am (May 21, 22, 23, 24, and 26)

  • May 21: Taichi Core part 1.  Standing (Zhan Zhuang), Relaxation (Fansong Gong), and posture corrections for ultimate strength, balance and wellness
  • May 22: Taichi Core part 2 - Silk Reeling Techniques (Chan Si Gong). Cultivate your internal power, coordination, and relaxation. Develop sensitivity, alignment, and connectedness within your body through slow, mindful movements that mimic the unravelling of silk from a cocoon
  • May 23 and 24: 13 Energies of Taichi part 1 and 2
  • May 26: Push Hands (tui shuo) basic

MORNING CLASSES II:

Time: 9:30 to 11:30am (May 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27)

  • May 21, 22, 23, 24, 25: First Routines (Lao Jia Yi Lu) part 1 to 5. 
  • May 26, 27: Taichi Spear part 3 and 4. Use a traditional Tai Chi weapon to integrate your internal energy with external objects, foster deeper mind-body awareness, improve physical strength, flexibility and coordination.

DISCIPLES LED CLASSES:

Time: 4:15 to 5:15pm (May 24, 25, 26)

  • Taichi Spear part 1, 2 and review (led by Master Chen Bing's Disciples) to prepare you for Part 3 and 4 of Spear that Master Chen Bing will teach in this seminar.

EVENING CLASSES

Time: 5:30 to 8:00 (May 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, and 26)

  • May 21, 22, 23, and 24: Cannon Fist (Lao Jia Er Lu) part 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • May 25 and 26: Push Hands (Tui Shou) and self defense applications part 1 and 2

PRIVATE LESSONS:

  • Private lessons are available by appointment only
  • Contact us for any questions and/or to schedule your Private Training Session/s

  • Register for any one class offered in teh seminar that is led by one or more of Master Chen Bing's registered disciples

  • Group dinner upon completion of the seminar with Master Chen Bing
  • The dinner location is to be determined at a later date

REGISTRATIONS/PAYMENTS

Please register and pay cash at the door before the class. 

GUIDELINES: Beginners as well as advanced participants are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes. All participants shall give upmost respect  and courtesy to one another, conduct training in the manner that is conducive to everyone’s health and well-being. No violent behavior will be tolerated.

DISCLAIMER: Taichi exercises are known to be gentle and safe for most people. However, as with any exercise program, there are risks. A physician’s examination is recommended for all participants with any exercise restrictions, including any heart problems, high blood pressure, chest pain dizziness, relevant surgeries, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, arthritis, or significant injury to any part of the body.

By registering to participate in this exercise program, you agree that, to your knowledge, you have no limiting physical conditions or disability that would preclude an exercise program. We will be training in the park by the picnic area near the lake. On the park map below please find: Schrock Lake Picnic Area. If it rains we will be in on of the shelters around the park.

Franlin Park (behind the Amphitheater)

NOTE: Please come early considering parking, traffic, and the festival crowd. 

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The tuition price does not include any food and/or accommodation. There are plenty of places you can get foods within 2 miles radius. If you are from out of town, please search for hotel and/or car rental online using websites such as hotels.com and expedia.com. You may also search for places using Airbnb.com. Please look for a hotel or Airbnb room in Westerville, Ohio or near Polaris Mall Shopping Center area. There are plenty of hotels within 5 miles radius (5 minutes drives) around the park. If you like us to help you find a roommate, need a ride from the park to the hotel and back, or need additional help with accommodation please don't hesitate to contact us. We will try our best to accommodate.

Note: We will plan to have a group dinner with Master Chen Bing on Sunday May 26, 2024. Please plan to spend around $25 and pay at the restaurant (TBD). Please RSVP by May 22 if you want to join the dinner to secure your seat and have some fun! :)
